Srinagar: The All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) paid rich tribute to the martyrs of the Kupwara massacre, calling it a clear example of the criminal role of Indian forces in occupied Kashmir. The conference reiterated that Jammu and Kashmir is an internationally recognized disputed territory, and Indian state terrorism or colonial tactics cannot alter its disputed status.
Indian soldiers brutally killed 27 unarmed Kashmiris in Kupwara. The massacre was carried out in retaliation for the strike organized by the Kashmiri people a day earlier against India's Republic Day.
APHC spokesperson Advocate Abdul Rashid Manhas, in a statement from Srinagar, said that the Kashmiri people will never forget the great sacrifices of these martyrs.
