Lady gets possession of plot from JAKHS after decades through relief provided by FOSPA

Islamabad: Federal Ombudsman Secretariat for Protection against Harassment (FOSPA) while announcing important decision against Jammun and Kashmir Housing Society (JAKHS) has provided relief of Rs 4 million to a lady complainant.

The complainant had paid full amount in 2003 to obtain plot. But the society made promises only with her and did not give possession of plot since two decades.

The society demanded Rs 340000 from her against additional development charges without any legal justification.

Not only this amount was got returned from the society but also plot measuring 200 square yards was allotted to lady.

The relief which comes to Rs 4 millions was afforded to lady.

Federal Mohtasib Fouzia Waqar ordered the society to immediately allot plot measuring 200 yards and give its possession to the complainant immediately in F-16/4 phase. No charges of any kind be recovered from the complaint as she has already made full payment.

The registrar cooperative societies was directed to conduct complete audit of society and investigate into matters of frauds and non execution of development work. Legal action be initiated against the persons responsible for mismanagement.
