Islamabad: Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has congratulated the Independent Group and its head Chaudhry Muhammad Ahsan Bhoon Advocate on their clear victory in the Islamabad Bar Council and Punjab Bar Council elections.

In a felicitation message, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed best wishes for Ahsan Bhoon, the Independent Group and all the winning lawyers.

He said the legal fraternity rose above political affiliations and took a principled stand and their principled vote has borne fruit in the form of success.

He highlighted that the lawyers' community plays a significant role in strengthening of democracy, ensuring justice, and protecting the rights of citizens.

PM Shehbaz Sharif expressed the confidence that the newly elected representatives will continue to serve with honesty, professional competence, and a deep sense of social responsibility.

He said the Minister for Law and Justice Senator Chaudhry Azam Nazeer Tarar Advocate is constantly striving to address the problems of the lawyers' community and remains in close contact with them.
