Lahore: Lahore High Court (LHC) has directed Advocate General Punjab (AGP) to appear before it after obtaining directives in connection with a miscellaneous petition seeking court order for lowering price of chicken.

Justice Sajid Mehmood Sethi took up for hearing miscellaneous petition filed by Pakistan Poultry Association (PPA) seeking court order for reduction in price of broiler meat.

The court directed AGP to obtain directives and appear before it in regard to petition besides adjourning the hearing till August 23.

PPA has made federal, provincial governments and others respondents in its petition.
