Lahore: Lahore High Court (LHC) has directed police authorities to present security plan on notification regarding permission for kite flying.As per media reports a miscellaneous petition against kite flying ordinance and notification by DC granting permission for kite flying came up for hearing in LHC Monday.During the hearing of the case Azhar Siddique counsel for the petitioner took the plea protection of life and property during kite flying is basic right of every citizen under the constitution. The court is therefore, requested to declare kite flying ordinance and notification on permission for kite flying null and void.The court inquired from additional secretary judicial during the hearing of the case what steps have been taken for the safety of the citizens and how the safety will be ensured.Some pictures have been included in the petition wherein a cut throat of a child can be seen.During the hearing of the case the court directed IG and CCPA should obtain report and tell us how the safety measures will be regulated.During the hearing of the case Assistant Advocate General raised objection ordinance has now become act. Therefore, the petition is not maintainable.The court remarked upon it the legal aspects of the act will be seen later while the petition has been filed with reference to protection of life and property of the citizens.Later the court directed Additional Secretary Judicial to obtain security plan from IG Punjab and CCPO and present it before the court.The hearing of the case was adjourned till January 16.
