Lahore: Lahore High Court (LHC) has fixed for hearing petition filed by daughter of Bushra Bibi seeking permission to meet her mother.

Registrar office while raising objection over it took the plea the petition should have been filed in LHC Rawalpindi bench.

Despite registrar office objection justice Farooq Haider will hear the petition filed by Mubashara Monika as objection.

The petitioner has taken the plea she has every right to meet her mother under jail rules. As per jail schedule, Tuesday is fixed every week for meeting of prisoners with family members.

The petitioner has requested the court through petition superintendent Adiala jail be ordered to arrange her meeting with her mother.

According to petitioner Bushra Bibi is imprisoned in Adiala jail at present. Mubashara Khawar is her real daughter.

The petition further said superintendent Adiala jail is not allowing her to meet her mother despite repeated efforts. Due to it her basic rights are being affected.

The decision on objections by registrar office and further proceedings on petition is expected after hearing.
