Lahore: Lahore High Court (LHC) has issued notice to the respondents on contempt of court plea filed in the matter of sacking blind persons from jobs.

The contempt of court petition against sacking blind persons from job came up for hearing before Justice Sajid Mehmood Sethi of LHC Wednesday.

During the hearing of the case advocate Ishtiaq Chaudhry told the court police tortured the blind persons on previous night on Mall road and dispersed their sit in .

Blind persons had staged sit in on Mall road since the last 15 days against sacking them from their jobs.

The court while issuing notice to the respondents on contempt of court plea adjourned the hearing of the petition till December 2.
