Lahore: Lahore High Court (LHC) has issued written order for taking stern action against those involved in launching negative propaganda against the judges on social media.It has been made clear in the decision if any person is found involved in hurting the prestige of judiciary or making false propaganda against it then stern legal proceedings will be initiated against him.Justice Ali Zia Bajwa issued written order on the petition filed by Pervaiz Ali advocate Wednesday.Mian Dawood advocate appeared in the court on behalf of the petitioner.He took the plea negative propaganda was launched to hurt the prestige of the judiciary. But no state institution took any effective action despite matter was such important nature.The court maintained the points raised in the petition are of important nature, therefore, it is admitted for regular proceedings.It was said in the written order no individual has any right to scandalize the judiciary in the name of freedom of expression. Law allows to take action against such elements. The respect of judiciary has been given special importance in the constitution.The court directed DG NCCIA to identify all the elements involved in false propaganda against the judiciary on social media and file the report in the court. He should appear in the court on next hearing and clarify why cyber police have not taken action in this regard.The court directed chairman PTA to submit detailed report on next hearing.It was further said in the written order Advocate General Punjab informed the court government does not support such negative steps.Further hearing of the case was adjourned till January 15.
