LAHORE: Lahore High Court (LHC) has issued written order in respect of previous hearing of petition against imposition of protective and non protective tariff on electricity consumers.

The court ordered state counsel to appear on next hearing after obtaining directives.

It has been said in the written order the petitioner told tariff has been imposed on the consumers regarding electricity units.

The order added according to petitioner electricity units are not being charged to the consumers as per basic rates.

On previous hearing LHC while issuing notice to PEMRA on the petition filed against unprecedented increase in electricity bills over 200 units on the basis of protective and non protective tariff had called reply on next hearing.

Justice Rasaal Hassan Syed had remarked during the hearing of the case on what basis tariff has been increased. The court be informed in this regard.
