LAHORE: Petitition has been filed in Lahore High Court (LHC) against increase in price of petroluem products per liter.Azhar Siddique advocate chairman of Judicial Activism Panel has filed the petition.The petition said the prices of petroleum products have decreased largely in international market. In this situation federal government enhanced the price of petroleum products without any legal justification. This step of government runs contrary to the basic rights enshrined in the constitution. This increase in the price of petroleum products will escalate inflation further. Therefore, court is requested to declare the increase in the prices of petroleum products null and void.
