Lahore: Lahore High Court (LHC) has been moved for issuing order to fix minimum wages amounting to 1000 dollars per month.Petition has been filed by a citizen in this regard making Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif and all the provincial chief ministers respondents.The petitioner has taken plea that government has fixed minimum salary Rs 37000 per month. At least 32 lac government employees and 8 crore are private employees. The purchasing power of the citizens will be increased due to enhancement in salaries.The petition said there is need to make immediate amendments in labor laws of the country.The court has been requested to order for fixing monthly wages equal to 1000 dollars besides suspending the notification regarding fixation of minimum wages equal to Rs 37000 per month.
