Lahore: Lahore High Court (LHC) has rejected the plea seeking immediate suspension of notification regarding detention of Dr Uzma Khan and Noreen Niazi sisters of PTI founder Imran Khan.

Justice Abher Gul Khan of LHC took up for hearing the petitions filed against the detention of Uzma Khan and Noreen Niazi. Rana Mudassar Umar and barrister Taimore appeared on behalf of Uzma Khan and Noreen Niazi. Farrukh Lodhi advocate represented Punjab government.

The court while rejecting the plea regarding immediate suspension of detention notification issued notice to the respondents and sought reply. Justice Abhar Gul remarked we call the report from the respective respondents.

Rana Mudassar Umar counsel for Dr Uzma Khan argued please give me two minutes, I want to get suspend the detention notification . I want to state some facts before the court. Both are house wives while they have been declared innocent in the case against Dr Uzma Khanum.

The counsel Rana Mudassar said copy of trial court decision is available with file.

It is pertinent to mention here Sakina daughter of Noreen Niazi and others had filed petitions through their counsel Rana Mudassar Umar advocate whereby court was requested to nullify the detention notification issued by DC.
