Lahore: Lahore High Court (LHC) while removing the objection of registrar office over the petition seeking issuance of notification on appointment of Justice Mansoor Ali Shah as Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) has ordered to fix it for hearing.Justice Faisal Zaman Khan of LHC heard the petition from Nadim Shibli as objection.Registrar office raised the objection LHC is not respective forum to hear the petition.The petitioner took the plea under the constitution the senior most judge of Supreme Court ( SC) has to become Chief justice of SC. Justice Mansoor Ali Shah is now the most senior judge of SC. Prime Minister and president are making the appointment of Justice Mansoor Ali Shah controversial. PML-N and PPP have not requisite number of members of assembly to make amendment in the constitution.The petition said the notification of Justice Qazi Faez Isa as CJP had been issued before taking oath by him.LHC should order government to issue notification about appointment of Justice Mansoo r Ali Shah as CJP.
