Lahore: Lahore High Court (LHC) has restrained Civil Lines Police from illegally harassing Snooker Club. The court issued the order on the petition against Civil Lines police for allegedly harassing the Snooker club administration illegally.
The court ordered CCPO Lahore to take action as per law against illegal steps by Civil Lines Police. The petition filed by Mudassar Majid, owner of Snooker club came up for hearing before Justice Ghulam Sarwar Nihung of LHC.
The petitioner took the plea Punjab government has fixed time for operating and closing snooker club. He is running snooker club as per government notification.
The petitioner told the court despite it he is being harassed illegally by Civil Lines police. Police is not allowing him to run snooker club declaring it illegal.
Justice Ghulam Sarwar Nihung remarked how the police can harass the club under law when it is being run as per government notification.
The petitioner requested the court police be restrained from harassing him illegally. The court directed CCPO Lahore to take action as per law against illegal steps of police.
