Lahore: Lahore High Court (LHC) has sought arguments from the respondents on the petition against larger sign boards and encroachments in Lahore.
The petition filed by citizen Haider Ali Mirza came up for hearing before Justice Shujaat Ali Khan of LHC Tuesday.
Counsel for the petitioner took the plea encroachments inside the city are in abundance. It is hard to pass through narrow streets of the city. Large sign boards have been installed every where in the city. Threat is there they may cause loss of lives if they collapse in wind storm.
Counsel for the petitioner said Supreme Court (SC) too has issued order against larger sign boards.
It is therefore, requested to court to order for removing large sign boards.
Court should also issue directives for eliminating encroachments from city.
Later the court sought arguments from the respondents adjourned the hearing of the case till May 27.
