Lahore: Lahore High Court (LHC) has sought implementation report from the Environment Department with reference to installation of suction board at restaurants for barbecue activities.

The court has also maintained PHA should inform members of Judicial Commission (JC) before construction work in PHA parks.

Justice Shahid Karim of LHC issued a 4-page written order on the petitions filed by citizen Haroon Farooq and others.

The order said PHA had filed report that water plants had been made functional at 38 mosques.

As per report several industrial units have been sealed for lacking water treatment plant.

The order said these units will remain sealed unless the water treatment plants are installed.

Environmental department should file report in connection with installation of suction board for barbecue purpose.

The court order has further said no one will do any construction work in any park without the permission of PHA.

PHA member will inform JC before initiation of any work in any park.

The hearing of the petitions was adjourned till January 23.
