Lahore: Lahore High Court Bar Association (LHCBA) has filed petition seeking court's order for live broadcasting hearing of petitions against 26th constitutional amendment.

In its miscellaneous petition, LHCBA has taken plea that independence of judiciary is directly a matter of basic rights of people. Supreme Court (SC) live broadcast such cases in the past too. This is case of independence of judiciary and basic rights. Therefore, proceedings on the petitions against 26th constitutional petitions be broad cast live.
