Islamabad: Supreme Court (SC) constitutional bench has sent Baloch Yakjehti Committee Mahrang Baloch detention case to practice and procedure committee for fixation for hearing before regular bench.

Case will be heard in regular bench.

A five members SC constitutional bench presided over by Justice Amin ud Din Khan took up for hearing the petition against Mahrang Baloch detention Thursday.

Faisal Siddiqui counsel for the petitioner appeared in the court during the hearing of the case and took the plea this is case of regular bench and not of constitutional bench.

Justice Muhammad Ali Mazhar remarked you have challenged MPO , there fore, it is constitutional bench case.

Counsel Faisal Siddiqui said we have not sought interpretation of the law in appeal plea and we have challenged only MPO order.

Later the SC constitutional bench sent the petition against detention of Mahrang Baloch to practice and procedure committee.

It is pertinent to mention here Nadia Baloch sister of Dr Mah Rang Baloch had resorted to SC against etention of Mah Rang Baloch in June 2025.
