Islamabad: Major hurdle in the appointment of opposition leader in National Assembly (NA) has been removed while PTI former opposition leader Omar Ayub has withdrawn his judicial petition.

As per media reports, Speaker NA Ayyaz Sadiq will make an important announcement regarding appointment of opposition leader NA during January 12 assembly session.

Earlier speaker NA could not appoint opposition leader being the matter pending hearing in court.

Next session of NA will commence from January 12

NA advisor Muhammad Mushtaq has said there will be no hurdle in appointment of new opposition leader in NA due to closure of judicial front.

Opposition delegation will meet Speaker NA Ayyaz Sadiq after his return from Bangladesh next week. Process will be moved ahead.

NA speaker will make an important announcement in the house regarding appointment of opposition leader in NA on January 12.
