Male: The Maldives has appreciated the strategic role of Pakistan as the key mediator for peace and stability in the region and its ongoing efforts to encourage dialogue between Iran and the United States.

The appreciation has been expressed at a meeting between Pakistan's High Commissioner to the Maldives Faisal Rasul Lodhi and Foreign Minister of Maldives Iruthisham Adam in Male.

Iruthisham Adam underscored that the Maldives profoundly support Pakistan's valuable efforts for peace.
