Maryam Nawaz inaugurates e-portal of Apni Zameen, Apna ghar project

Lahore: Chief Minister (CM) Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif has inaugurated e-portal of Apni Zameen, Apna Ghar project to provide 3 marla plots free to homeless persons in Punjab.

CM Punjab inaugurated E-Portal of project azag.punjab.gov.pk. Citizens will be able to send online applications for free plot through it.

This project is extension of "Apni Chat, Apna Ghar project" under which process of construction of 34000 homes has been started. Two thousand homes have been completed.

In the first phase of "Apni Zameen Apna Ghar project" 2000 plots of 3 marlas will be provided free under 23 housing schemes in 19 districts of Punjab.

In the first phase plots will be distributed in Jhelum, Pattoki, Mamun Kanjan, Lodhran and Renala Khurd.

Loans will be provided on easy conditions to people selected through draw for construction of homes.

On the occasion of inauguration of E-Portal CM Punjab said easy installments have been worked out and 3 months grace period has been given for return of loan. The process of returning loan has also started.

She said this program is close to my heart and is dream of my Quaid Nawaz Sharif that every homeless be provided home.

The past governments could not build homes in such number of which her government has laid foundation in six months.

Earlier provincial minister for housing Bilal Yasin sauid that loans amounting to Rs 36 billion have been released to 33500 people for construction of homes under Apni Chat, Apna Ghar project.
