Islamabad: Chairman Prime Minister's Youth Programme Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan has reiterated to include religious institutions in the national development framework.
He was addressing a convention at Jamia Islamabad Tuesday .
Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan said Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has taken key initiatives to bring madrassas into the mainstream, while the teaching of the Holy Quran is being made compulsory in schools.
He stressed the need to strengthen religious foundations alongside modern education. He expressed the confidence that Pakistan's talented and committed youth will play a positive role in national development and the promotion of Islamic values.
