Matter of 28th constitutional amendment likely to be delayed due to fears and reservations between PPP, PML-N on different matters

Islamabad: The matter of 28th constitutional amendment is likely to be delayed due to concerns and apprehensions between PPP and PML-N on different issues.

PPP has expressed reservations over growing proximity of MQM and government.

According to PPP sources no consultation was made with PPP on MQM proposals on the occasion of passage of 27th constitutional amendment. PPP will not support any such amendment which gives birth to any suspicion about division of Sindh.

As per PPP sources it has reservations over use of Governor House Sindh by MQM instead of its being symbol of federation.

Important matters have come under discussion in different meetings with PML-N leadership particularly with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, senior minister Sindh Sharjeel Memon and Chief minister Sindh have informed the PML-N on several matters.

PPP has once and again informed federal government about its reservations on the matter of change of governor Sindh. Any suspicion regarding any division in the name of local bodies system will be countered forcefully.

PPP has demanded PM for implementation of agreement on allied partnership.

According to sources the pledges made with PPP with reference to Punjab have not been fulfilled. Now the federal government will have to ensure to abide by assurances and pledges made earlier. Then PPP will cooperate on any other matter in next phase.
