Islamabad: PTI leader Asad Qaisar has said JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has agreed to support nomination of Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party's (PkMAP) Mehmood Khan Achakzai for the opposition leader's slot in the National Assembly (NA).

As per media reports, PTI delegation visited the residence of Maulana Fazlur Rehman Thursday.

The delegation comprised nominated opposition leader in NA Mehmood Khan Achakzai, Asad Qaisar and head of Majlis-e-Wahdatul Muslimeen.

JUI-F chief Fazl was accompanied by Maulana Salahuddin Ayubi, Advocate Jalaluddin, and his son, Maulana Asjad Mehmood.

The 27th constitutional amendment came under discussion in the meeting between PTI and JUI-F leaders.

After meeting with Maulana Fazlur Rehman, PTI leader Asad Qaisar said we are grateful to Maulana Fazlur Rehman. He has supported to make Mehmood Khan Achakzai opposition leader in NA. Now the notification for appointment of Mehmood Khan Achakzai as opposition leader should be issued soon.

He said we will see about 27th constitutional amendment. Opposition will gather in the house. A consensus strategy will be evolved.
