Lahore: The court has summoned witnesses in the case of torching police vehicles in Zaman Park in connection with May 9 incident.
As per media reports May 9 police vans torching in Zaman Park case came up for hearing before admn judge Manzar Ali Gil of Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) Monday.
The court summoned prosecution witnesses for recording their evidence.
The court staff marked attendance of the accused in jail during the hearing of the case.
The accused who are detained are Dr Yasmin Rashid, Omar Sarfraz Cheema, Ejaz Chaudhry and Mian Mehmood ur Rashid.
Rana Mudassar Omar and Mian Ali Ammar advocate appeared in the court on behalf of the accused persons.
The court adjourned the proceedings of jail trial till tomorrow.
It is pertinent to mention here the case for torching police vehicles is registered in police station Race course. PTI leaders are charged with May 9 treason and inciting party workers.
The court adjourned till November 8 hearing of bail plea of PTI leaders in May 9 related cases.
The court sought arguments on next hearing from the counsel on the bail pleas of detained PTI leaders.
The court also directed the prosecution to give arguments.
