Islamabad: Decision has been taken to keep weekly bazaars of Islamabad closed. Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad (MCI) has decided to keep the weekly bazaars of H-9, G-6 and G-10 closed due to non implementation of fire safety rules besides issuing directives in this regard.

According to media report, the weekly bazaars of G-6, H-9 and G-10 will remain closed on September 01, 02, 04 and 06 September. The cause behind keeping the weekly bazaars is non compliance of Fire safety directives.

The administration said H-9 weekly market vendors will be allowed to resume business at their designated stalls from September 1, but only after strictly following all prescribed fire safety measures.

According to administration stern action will be taken against respective stall holders on violation of safety rules.
