Islamabad: Former Convener of the APHC and Acting president of the Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (DFP), Mehmood Ahmed Saghar, has extended his warm wishes to the people and government of Pakistan on the occasion of Independence Day.
In a statement issued on Thursday, Mehmood Ahmed Saghar, while conveying his party's best wishes for Pakistan's peace and prosperity, said, 'We are deeply grateful to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan for its unwavering moral, political, and diplomatic support to our just and legitimate struggle.'
He also paid glowing tributes to the founding father of Pakistan, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, and other leaders of the Pakistan Movement, whose unparalleled struggle and sacrifices paved the way for the creation of a separate homeland for the Muslims of the subcontinent.
Expressing optimism, Saghar said he was confident that Pakistan would continue its steadfast support to the Kashmiris' legitimate struggle until they achieve their cherished goal of the right to self-determination, for which they have rendered unmatched sacrifices.
