Srinagar: The All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) has voiced deep alarm over the intensifying state terrorism in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, condemning the systematic atrocities faced by Kashmiris both inside the occupied territory and across India. The APHC stated that despite over 78 years of brutal repression, India has failed to break the Kashmiri peoples resolve for freedom.
APHC spokesman Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas, in a statement issued in Srinagar, said the BJP-led government and its agencies cannot coerce Kashmiris into surrendering their legitimate struggle. He highlighted how Kashmiri students, professionals and businesspeople in Indian states including Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Rajasthan and Delhi are being harassed, targeted and forced out of their accommodations following the Red Fort blast in New Delhi.
Minhas denounced the ongoing cordon-and-search operations, the mass arrest of more than two thousand youth, and widespread house raids, calling them part of Indias systematic attempt to terrorize, weaken and economically suffocate Kashmiris. ¬The caged and oppressed people of Kashmir have lived under relentless Indian state terrorism since 1947,® he said.
The APHC spokesman accused Narendra Modis Hindutva-led military establishment of executing a ¬slow-motion genocide® in the occupied territory through draconian laws that grant forces complete impunity for killings, torture and arbitrary detentions. He specifically condemned DGP Nalin Prabhat, saying mass arrests, property seizures and youth-targeting have intensified under his command, advancing an RSS-inspired agenda of demographic change in IIOJK.
Paying homage to Bilal Ahmad Wani³a dry fruit vendor who died after self-inflicted burn injuries following police humiliation³Minhas said his tragic death reflects the unbearable human cost of Indian repression. He added that such sacrifices will not be forgotten and that Kashmiris will ultimately achieve their right to freedom.
The spokesman urged the United Nations to intervene, take tangible steps to halt Indian state terrorism in IIOJK and move towards resolving the Kashmir dispute in accordance with the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.
