Islamabad: Federal Interior Minister Senator Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi has directed all subsidiary departments of the Ministry of Interior to submit proposals for amendments to rules and regulations, along with other necessary recommendations, within three days. He also instructed the Federal Secretary Interior to present a final comprehensive plan.
A special meeting chaired by Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi was held at the Ministry of Interior in this regard. The meeting was attended by heads of all subsidiary departments and other senior officials.
Mohsin Naqvi expressed that there is a lack of coordination among the subsidiary departments, which must be urgently addressed. He emphasized the need to strengthen mutual coordination and cooperation among all departments in order to enhance performance and efficiency.
The Interior Minister directed that the specific needs and available resources of each department be clearly defined. He also instructed each department to formulate a solid plan outlining how it can support other departments.
Mohsin Naqvi asserted that effective coordination among all subsidiary departments will directly benefit the public. Only by fully utilizing each other's capabilities can the overall efficiency of institutions be improved.
Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry, Secretary Interior, Additional Secretaries, DG FIA, Commandant Federal Constabulary, Commandant National Police Academy, DG National Police Bureau, DG Passport and Immigration, DG National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency, DG National Forensic Agency, Chief Commissioner Islamabad, IG Islamabad Police, DC Islamabad, Chief Operating Officer NADRA, and Director Anti-Narcotics Force attended the meeting.
Meanwhile Mohsin Naqvi has paid tribute to Police Constable Haider Ali, who was swept away by floodwaters while rescuing victims in Jhelum. The Interior Minister said that Constable Haider Ali of Punjab Police laid down his life while saving others, setting a remarkable example of dedication to duty.
'We salute the supreme sacrifice of Martyr Constable Haider Ali,' the Minister stated. 'He risked and ultimately gave his life to save many others. Constable Haider Ali is a national hero who never let his duty be compromised. His bravery is exemplary, and his unforgettable sacrifice will always be remembered by the nation.'
Mohsin Naqvi also expressed heartfelt condolences and solidarity with the family of the martyred Constable, affirming: 'We stand with the family of Martyr Constable Haider Ali.'
