Islamabad: Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi arrived at the Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in F-8. The Archbishop of Islamabad and Rawalpindi, Joseph Arshad, received the Interior Minister. Mohsin Naqvi attended the special ceremony organized on the occasion of Christmas. Children presented welcome flowers to the Federal Interior Minister.
Mohsin Naqvi, along with Archbishop Joseph Arshad and members of the Christian community, cut the Christmas cake. He extended Christmas greetings to the Christian community and lit the candle of peace together with them.
The Interior Minister participated in the Christmas prayer ceremony. Children presented a welcome tableau, and Christmas carols were also performed. Reverend Father Sylvester Joseph welcomed Mohsin Naqvi on behalf of the Christian community. Addressing the ceremony, Mohsin Naqvi said that Christmas conveys a message of happiness, love, and brotherhood and is a joyful festival. He further stated that, according to Quaid-e-Azam, all communities living in Pakistan are equal, and in line with his vision, all Pakistanis have equal rights and are united. He said that foolproof security arrangements have been ensured on the occasion of Christmas.
The ceremony was also attended by the Chief Commissioner Islamabad, IG Islamabad Police, Deputy Commissioner, and Additional Deputy Commissioner Islamabad.
