Mohsin Naqvi orders for operation against encroachments in Islamabad

Islamabad: Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has ordered to conduct operation against encroachments in Islamabad.

An important meeting was held under interior minister Mohsin Naqvi in Capital Development Authority (CDA ) headquarters here to review the ongoing and new projects of public interest.

It was decided in the meeting T-chowk flyover and Shaheen Chowk underpass will be inaugurated in the beginning of September. .

The interior minister while giving order to completely eradicate the encroachments made it clear no leniency will be shown in this regard.

The interior minister also directed that respective sectors be cleared by launching operation against the illegal foreign nationals till September 30.

Task was assigned to SSP Operations, ADCG and director DMA.

The interior minister while directing housing societies to ensure implementation of rules and regulations said that stern action will be taken in the case of violation.

During the meeting directives were issued to start Diplomatic Enclave Upgradation Project Phase-1. It will include construction and repair from constitutional avenue to main entry, adjacent high way, Boundary wall, cycling track and park

Different models were reviewed to activate Gandhara Heritage and citizens centre.

Directives were issued to carry out remodeling of Daman-e-Koh to facilitate the citizens.

Progress in work on under-construction sectors C-14, C-15 and C-16 was reviewed.

It was directed that pending sectors E-12 and I-12 be completed soon and handed over to allottees.

Interior minister further said comprehensive plan for development of new sectors including C-13, D-13, E-`13 and F-13 be presented. Elementary work regarding construction of 2 five stars hotels in Islamabad be completed till December 31.

The meeting was told during briefing the first phase of model jail is under way which will soon be completed. land has been earmarked for construction of capital house in Islamabad.

Meeting was attended by chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa, Members CDA, ADCG, SSP operations and others.
