Mohsin Naqvi visits Peshawar Police Headquarters, pays tribute to martyred police personnel and reviews CTD operations

Peshawar: Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi visited the Police Headquarters in Peshawar. During the visit, he met the families of the 15 police personnel martyred in Bannu and paid glowing tribute to their supreme sacrifices. He consoled the mothers of the martyrs and expressed deep sympathy and condolences.Mohsin Naqvi said that the courage of such brave mothers has further strengthened the nation's resolve. He added that their lionhearted sons set a great example of bravery and attained the exalted status of martyrdom.The Interior Minister was given a special briefing regarding the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He appreciated the professional competence and operational readiness of the CTD for carrying out successful operations against Indian-sponsored terrorists.Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi also received a detailed briefing on measures being taken to improve coordination and cooperation between federal and provincial law enforcement agencies in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He s aid that CTD Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has conducted successful operations against Khawarij terrorists. The Federal Government, he added, will provide full support to enhance the capacity of CTD Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.The Interior Minister also visited the Martyrs' Memorial, laid floral wreaths, and offered Fateha. He later visited the KP Safe Cities Project and inspected the Integrated Command and Control Center, where he reviewed the technology-based surveillance system through modern cameras.Mohsin Naqvi examined the camera monitoring system in detail. Inspector General Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police Zulfiqar Hameed briefed the Interior Minister on the Safe City Project and CTD operations. The Additional IG CTD also informed him about steps being taken to modernize the department.Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, IG FC KP North, IG Federal Constabulary, and other relevant officials were also present on the occasion.
