Monem Zafar Khan visits family of another Pakistani killed by Somali pirates, seeks compensation

Karachi: Jamaat-e-Islami Karachi Ameer Monem Zafar Khan on Thursday visited the home of Mehmood Ansari, another Karachi resident who was killed by Somali pirates, and expressed condolences to the bereaved family.Monem Zafar went to Federal B Area, Block 21, where he met the deceased's brother Masood Ansari, son Muzammil Ansari and other family members.On the occasion, he expressed profound grief over the tragic incident and demanded that the government ensure the safe return of injured and other hostage citizens and take effective measures for early repatriation of the mortal remains of those martyred."There is no substitute for human life, but it is the responsibility of the government to compensate the families of the martyrs," he said.Gulberg District Ameer Kamran Siraj and Information Secretary Zahid Askari were also present on the occasion.The brother of the deceased said that several days had passed since his brother's martyrdom but his body had not yet been brought back.His son Muzammil An sari said the government had failed to play the role it should have for the recovery of hostages and repatriation of the body. He said that when they staged a peaceful protest, the Sindh government resorted to baton-charge.He thanked the Jamaat-e-Islami for raising its voice for the recovery of the hostages.
