More 13 persons including former senator Mushtaq Ahmad of global sumud flotilla released

Islamabad: Former Senator JI Mushtaq Ahmad has been released from prison of Israel.

As per report Israel has deported former senator Mushtaq Ahmad and more 131 persons of global Sumud Flotilla and later they were taken to Jordan.

Deputy Prime Minister and foreign minister Ishaq Dar has confirmed about the release of former senator Mushtaq Ahmad. Ishaq Dar has said in his statement on social media website X , I am pleased to make confirmation that former senator Mushtaq Ahmad has been released and he is now in Pakistan embassy in Jordan. His health is good.

He said embassy is prepared to provide facility of returning home to him as per his desire and convenience. Ishaq Dar expressed thanks to all friendly countries for cooperating with foreign ministry of Pakistan in this regard.

In a video message released after his release, Mushtaq revealed that he was held at Ketziot Prison, also known as Ansar III, a high-security facility in Israel's Negev desert. 'I was subjected to torture. My eyes were blindfolded, and guns were pointed at us, ' he said. 'I went on a hunger strike, and Israeli forces denied access to air, drinking water, or medication,' he added. Dogs were let loose on us.

He said in his message after his release from Israel prison that resistance will continue from Adiala jail to Israeli jail for the freedom of Palestine.
