Islamabad: The mother of senior journalist, analyst and anchorperson SAMAA News Absar Alam Haider, passed away on Tuesday.

The funeral prayer of the deceased was offered at 5:30 PM on Wednesday at H-11 graveyard in Islamabad. A large number of people including Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar Advocate, Minister for Railways Muhammad Hanif Abbasi, Minister of State for Interior Muhammad Talal Chauhdry, Minister of State for Finance and Railways Bilal Azhar Kayani, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Parliamentary leader in Senate Irfan Siddiqui former information minister Chaudhry Qamar Zaman Kaira, former chairman senate Syed Nayyar Hussain Bukhari, former senator Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar, Principal Information Officer (PIO) Mubashir Hassan, government officers and journalists attended the funeral prayer. Later on she was laid to rest at the same graveyard.

President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar Advocate, Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Engineer Hafiz Naeemur Rehman, Ameer Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl Maulana Fazlur Rehman, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah, JI Deputy Chief Liaqat Baloch, Emir JI Islamabad Engineer Nasrullah Randhawa, Minister of State for Finance and Railways Bilal Azhar Kayani, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Parliamentary leader in Senate Irfan Siddiqui and members of the journalist community have expressed grief and sorrow over the sad demise of the mother of Absar Alam and have prayed higher status in heaven for the departed soul and courage for the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss.
