Islamabad: Muhammad Farooq Rehmani, Chairman of the JandK People's Freedom League and former Convener of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference AJandK Chapter, extended heartfelt congratulations to the people and government of Pakistan on the occasion of Pakistan's Independence Day.

In his message, he lauded the nation's enthusiastic celebration of Youm-e-Azadi and commended the armed forces for their exemplary defense in repelling Indian air aggression.

Rehmani paid tribute to the freedom fighters and martyrs of the Pakistan movement, expressing admiration for the statesmanship of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and the philosophical vision of Dr. Allama Iqbal.

He also honored the thousands of freedom fighters of the 1857 War of Independence, who were executed by British colonialists in Delhi in May 1857.

He emphasized that the dreams of Jinnah and Iqbal will be fully realized when Jammu and Kashmir is liberated from India's illegal and forcible occupation.
