Rawalpindi: Civil judge Rawalpindi Ms Samra Waheed has extended for further 4 days physical remand of 6 major accused including head of the jirga in the case of murder of a newly wedded girl in the name of honor under Jirga decision in the area of Pirwadhai.

Investigation officer Sub inspector Shabbir Hussain presented jirga head Asmat Ullah Khan, father of the victim Arab Gull. brother Zafar Ullah Khan, husband Zia ur Rehman, father in law Saleh Muhammad Khan alias Salim Gul, uncle father in law in the court under stringent security.

The police while praying the court to grant 7-day physical remand of the accused took the plea as per police investigations, the newly wedded girl was strangled to death with the help of pillow. But the pillow has not been recovered so far.

But the court in the capacity of duty judge granted 4-day physical remand and directed the accused be presented on August 4 again.
