Islamabad: Mushaal Hussein Mullick, Chairperson of the Peace and Culture Organisation, former SAPM human rights and women empowerment and wife of Jailed Kashmiri Hurriyat Leader Mohammad Yasin Malik has expressed grave concern over reports of military strikes targeting Iran's nuclear facilities, warning that such actions threaten to destabilize an already fragile regional security environment.

In a forceful statement, Mushaal Mullick condemned the attacks as a violation of international law and national sovereignty, emphasizing that military aggression only deepens conflicts rather than resolving them.

"I am deeply disturbed by these developments, which risk pushing our region toward further violence and suffering," said Mullick. "History has shown us time and again - from the tragic Iraq War to countless other conflicts - that wars based on false pretenses bring nothing but destruction. The path to lasting security lies in dialogue, not destruction."

Mushaal Mullick highlighted that the dangerous escalation of tensions that could spill across the region. The fundamental breach of international legal norms regarding national sovereignty. The concerning influence of external pressure groups in pushing nations toward conflict. The need for global solidarity with the Iranian people facing aggression.

Mushaal Mullick called upon the international community, particularly the United Nations and Organization of Islamic Cooperation, to:

- Immediately intervene to prevent further escalation

- Create platforms for peaceful diplomatic resolution of disputes

- Ensure accountability for violations of international law

"This is a pivotal moment where world leaders must choose between repeating past mistakes or charting a new course toward peace," she stated.

The Peace and Culture Organisation reaffirmed its dedication to peace building efforts and announced plans to mobilize civil society networks to advocate against militarization and for conflict resolution.
