Islamabad: Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen's Parliamentary Leader and Member National Assembly from Parachinar, Engr. Hameed Hussain, strongly criticized the ongoing operations against innocent citizens during his speech in the National Assembly, urging the government to protect the public from displacement and harassment.

Addressing the House, Engr. Hameed Hussain said that while the entire nation mourns and unites whenever security personnel are attacked, it is equally painful to see the state conducting heavy-handed operations against its own citizens. 'Despite spending over four billion rupees on the Road, it remains closed for years. People cannot take their patients to hospitals, funerals are delayed, and poor citizens are being told to vacate their homes,' he lamented.

He further said, 'When protectors of the nation are martyred, the whole country trembles, but when poor, unarmed citizens are harassed and displaced, their suffering goes unnoticed. These people are also sons, brothers, and parents - they deserve the same empathy and protection.'

Engr. Hameed Hussain appealed to the government and the parliament to ensure that all ongoing operations respect the rights and dignity of ordinary citizens. He demanded immediate reopening of the Thall Parachinar Road, which has remained closed for years despite massive expenditure.

He warned that continued negligence towards the suffering of local residents would only deepen their sense of deprivation and injustice.
