Karachi: A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the NADRA Regional Head Office Karachi and the Town Municipal Corporation (TMC) Gulberg for the establishment of a Mega Center in Gulberg Town.
The signing ceremony was attended by Director General NADRA Sindh, Nadir Ali Khan, Chairman Gulberg Town, Nusratullah, Deputy Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Gulberg-e-Wasti, Farooq Nematullah, Municipal Commissioner, Abdul Hameed Suhag, and other local representatives.
This new facility will be the largest NADRA Mega Center in Karachi, established under the supervision of NADRA RHO Karachi. The center will comprise 40 counters equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and will have the capacity to serve 4,000 applicants daily. It will operate 24 hours a day, six days a week.
The Mega Center will feature central air conditioning, seating for up to 1,500 people, and an air-conditioned waiting area. To ensure uninterrupted operations, a standby power generator will be installed. The center will include special service counters for passport vouchers, arms licenses, senior citizens, and thalassemia patients.
In addition, two zonal offices will be established within the Mega Center to bring NADRA services closer to residents of Karachi's Central District. The premises for the center have been provided by TMC Gulberg under the terms of the MoU.
The new Mega Center in Gulberg will serve residents of Ayesha Manzil, Sakhi Hassan, North Nazimabad, New Karachi, Gulshan, Gulistan-e-Jauhar, and Liaquatabad, providing them easy access to NADRA's modern and efficient services.
Through this initiative, NADRA aims to deliver multiple public services under one roof, significantly enhancing the quality and convenience of citizen service delivery.
Speaking on the occasion, Chairman Gulberg Town, Nusratullah, stated: 'Jamaat-e-Islami is committed to providing relief to the public and is serving the people beyond its administrative mandate.'
He added that the establishment of Karachi's largest Mega Center in the FB Area will greatly facilitate and benefit the local population.
Director General NADRA Sindh, Nadir Ali Khan, remarked that NADRA is dedicated to offering high-quality services through modern technology and innovative solutions. The establishment of the Mega Center in Gulberg is a testament to that commitment.
Concluding the ceremony, Municipal Commissioner Abdul Hameed Suhag thanked NADRA officials and emphasized that such institutional cooperation for public convenience will continue in the future.
