Islamabad: NADRA has introduced free proof of life certificate facility for pensioners under special directive of Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif. NADRA spokesperson said pensioners now can obtain certificate from PAK ID in their homes.

Any member of family of pensioner who does not use mobile app can obtain certificate. The free facility of proof of life is available at 5000 e Sahulat Franchises .

The certificate can be obtained free of cost from 988 NADRA centers and 500 union councils. Pensioners will be provided services on priority basis at NADRA Marakiz and union councils. The facility will be available through mobile registration service, biker service and main pack service.

The facility has been provided in collaboration with interior ministry, ministry of defence, and MAG. NADRA has maintained National pensioners register for pensioners of CGA and MAG. This is credible source for digital verification of identity and proof of life status of pensioners.

The information about death of pensioner will reach pension controller after having been recorded in death notification toll or CRMS. Information about change in age or matrimonial status will also be given. The respective competent authority will decide about continuing, changing or ceasing pension.

The authorized banks will be able to check proof of life status of pensioners from National pensioners register directly. The pensioners of other government and private departments will also be included in national pensioners register.
