Islamabad: Interior ministry has said no assurance has been given by interior minister Mohsin Naqvi for arranging meeting between barrister Gohar Ali with PTI founder Imran Khan.According to statement issued by interior ministry spokesperson Barrister Gohar Ali Khan wrote a letter to interior minister Mohsin Naqvi whereby request was made for arranging his meeting with PTI founder.Interior minister talked to barrister Gohar Ali by telephone. Interior minister held out assurance for reviewing the application. However no assurance was given about permission for meeting with PTI founder.According to the spokesperson ban is imposed on meetings with all the prisoners in jail in the perspective of SCO summit conference and security concerns. Allowing any one prisoner for meeting falls in the ambit of double standard with other prisoners.
