New notification for trial of 11 cases including GHQ attack case against Imran Khan through video link issued, jail trial of former chairman PTI stopped

Rawalpindi: Home department Punjab has issued new notification regarding trial of 11 cases related to May 9 incident including GHQ attack case.

According to notification the jail trial of former chairman PTI Imran Khan has been stopped and now he will be presented in the court from Adiala jail through video link.

Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) Rawalpindi has fixed November 5 for hearing GHQ attack case.

The notification issued by home department Punjab said these cases will be run in ATC Rawalpindi under section 15 (2) and 21(2)(b) of anti terrorism act-1997.

The cases against him are registered in these police stations. Case No 708 is registered in police station R.A Bazar, case No 981 in police station civil lines, case No 563 in police station city, case No 914 in police station Waris Khan, case No 2106 in police station New Town, case No 397 in police station Morgah, case No 2076 in police station, Sadiq Abad, case No 940 in police station Wah and cases No 744 and 948 in police station Cantt.

Home department has issued directives to superintendent Adiala jail, Deputy Commissioner , CPO Rawalpindi and other respective institutions that the attendance of the accused through video link and security arrangements be ensured.

The court has directed former chairman of PTI be presented from Adiala jail to the court through video link during hearing on November 5.
