Islamabad: Secretary General Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan, Ameerul Azeem, said that no real change can come until Islam is incorporated into the country's politics, judiciary, economy, and governance. He stated that Jamaat-e-Islami wants to open the closed doors of power for Islam. The enforcement of an Islamic system in the country is a constitutional requirement that has yet to be fulfilled.Ameerul Azeem added that Pakistan can only be shaped by those who live their lives in accordance with Islamic teachings, following the model of the State of Madinah. He said that the struggle for the supremacy of religion is dearer to them than worldly power and glory by a thousand times. He further remarked that leaders who come to power riding on the shoulders of generals are not public leaders. Jamaat-e-Islami, he said, has grown beyond the confines of an organization and has become a movement.He expressed these views while addressing a gathering of members of Jamaat-e-Islami in a local market in Islamabad. Ameer of J amaat-e-Islami Islamabad, Engineer Nasrullah Randhawa, and Secretary General Zubair Safdar also addressed the gathering.Ameerul Azeem said that the rulers have made it difficult for the public to practice their religion. Along with providing the new generation with education and healthcare, it is also necessary to safeguard their faith. He stated that the only solution is to lead young people out of the darkness of despair and bring them into the light of hope.He added that if Islamabad is transformed, Islam can become a dominant force capable of stopping the massacre of Muslims. Jamaat-e-Islami is advancing by addressing public issues and, with the support and approval of the people, will reach the halls of power. 'We do not need anyone's shoulder or crutch,' he said, warning that those who reach power leaning on crutches or others find no support when leaving it.He emphasized that Jamaat-e-Islami advocates the implementation of an Islamic system in the country, and until Islam is established in our ju diciary, politics, and economy, the dream of progress and prosperity cannot be realized.Ameerul Azeem also said that the founder of Jamaat-e-Islami, Syed Abul Ala Maududi, closely observed various movements in India and conducted a deep analysis of them. The Jamaat-e-Islami system was designed based on that thorough analysis.
