Islamabad: Islamabad High Court (IHC) has summoned Joint Secretary (Admn) ICT along with record on September 15 in connection with non payment of compensation to the affectees of District Kutchery G-11 suicide blast case.

The case regarding non payment of compensation to the affectees of suicide attack in district Kutchery G-11 came up for hearing in IHC.

It was disclosed that funds were not available for payment of compensation to the heirs of martyrs .

Deputy Commissioner (DC) Islamabad informed about lack of separate budget for payment of compensation.

DC has sought fund from Chief Commissioner for payment of compensation.

It has been said in the reply that request has been made to interior ministry for release of funds.

It has been said in the letter compensation to the affectees of Tarlai Imambargah blast was paid this year. Compensation to Tarlai Imambargah blast was paid on receipt of funds from interior ministry.

Islamabad Inspector General of Police (IGP) Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi and Chief Commissioner Lt. (Retd.) Sohail Ashraf riding in a ceremonial horse-drawn buggy matter was raised by the petitioner in the court.

The counsel said funds are there for riding in buggy but there is no money for payment of compensation to heirs of the martyrs.

The court summoned Joint secretary Admn ICT along with record.

The hearing of the case was adjourned till September 15.
