Karachi: Sindh High Court (SHC) constitutional bench has issued show cause notice to chairman KPT on not regularizing the employees besides directing him to appear before it in person on May 25.Contempt of court plea against chairman KPT came up for hearing before SHC constitutional bench for not regularizing the employees.The court expressed resentment over non appearance of counsel for KPT.Justice Hassan Akbar remarked where is KPT counsel.The public prosecutor replied counsel for KPT has not appeared in the court.Asad Baloch counsel for the petitioners took the plea that cargo men, lift operators and employees on other posts are working since 2009.According to counsel for the petitioner SHC had ordered to regularize the petitioners in 2021.Counsel for the petitioner told the court that KPT issued advertisement for new recruitment instead of regularizing old employees.He said court had stopped new appointments in KPT. Despite it the petitioners are not being regularized.
