Islamabad: Notification regarding fixation of price of roti and Nan has been challenged in Islamabad High Court (IHC) by naanbais .
The court has directed any adverse action against Naanbais be not taken.
Naanbais Association has challenged district administration notification regarding fixation of price of Nan and Roti in IHC.
The case came up for hearing before Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir.
The court while issuing written order directed Deputy Commissioner (DC) Islamabad to meet the representatives of Naan Bais Association on September 30.
The court further directed reservations of all respondents be heard and case be fixed for hearing again on October 01.
During the hearing of the case counsel for Naanbais Barrister Omar Ejaz Gillani took the plea the prices of wheat and Atta have been raised after disastrous flood. But the district administration issued notification by ignoring ground realities. DC refused to hear the reservations of the association.
The court maintained one sided decisions cannot be made without hearing plea of respondents. District administration should refrain from taking any action against Naanbais at present.
The court restrained district administration from taking any adverse action against Naanbais .
