Rawalpindi: Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) Rawalpindi has accepted exemption from attendance plea of PTI leaders Azam Swati and Suleman Akram Raja in connection with their bail before arrest petition in cases pertaining to PTI November 26 protest besides adjourning hearing of the case till April 8.

The plea for exemption from attendance on medical grounds in respect of Azam Swati was filed Saturday which was accepted by the court.

Police filed investigation report in respect of Suleman Akram Raja in the court.

The court adjourned hearing of bail before arrest plea of Suleman Akram Raja and Azam Swati till April 8.

Cases against both are registered in police station Sadar Hassan Abdal in connection with November 26 protest.

Sanam Javed along with her counsel Faisal Malik appeared in the court.

The counsel for the accused sought time till April 8 for arguments on bail plea.

The counsel of Sanam Javed said bail pleas of other accused persons are fixed on April 8 , therefore, he wants to give arguments collectively.

Zahir Shah counsel for the prosecution objected over plea for seeking more time by the counsel of the accused that he had sought time for arguments till April 22 on previous hearing while prosecution has given its arguments. Therefore, no more time be given to the counsel of the accused.

The court while accepting the plea of prosecution sought arguments from defence counsel today.

The court allowed Sanam Javed to go after marking attendance.

Cases against Sanam Javed, Mashal Yousufzai and Ahad Malik are registered in police station Hassan Abdal on November 26 protest.

140 PTI workers who are arrested in cases pertaining to November 26 protest were presented in the court under court's orders. These workers were presented in the court from Attock jail under stringent security arrangements.
