Rawalpindi: Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) Rawalpindi has reserved judgment on completion of arguments from the counsels of the respondents on the plea of Aleema Khanum, sister of PTI founder Imran Khan nominated in the case registered in police station Sadiq Abad in connection with PTI November 26 protest.

Aleema Khanum had filed petition in the court that USB based on videos presented as evidence be subjected to international forensic .

Aleema Khanum was present in the court with her counsel Faisal Malik . Special prosecutor Zahir Shah too appeared in the court.

The counsel for the petitioner requested the court forensic of USB be got done from international laboratory because prosecution is of the view that Aleema Khanum held media talk outside Adiala jail with reference to Nov 24 protest call. It proves from videos available in USB protest call was reported in print and electronic media on November 22. Therefore, USB be kept in court's custody because court can get scrutinize any document to meet the norms of justice.

Raising objection on the occasion, Special prosecutor took the plea that the accused and her counsel could not present any such video or USB in the court from the first day of trial so far . Now the time of court is being wasted by presenting fabricated videos at the last stage of trial now. The USB presented by defence counsel contains no exclusive footage. While the request made in the petition of the accused does not fall in the jurisdiction of this court.

Prosecutor reminded defence counsel has accepted reports of Punjab Forensic Lab during cross questioning from investigation officer of this case. While court has rejected the plea of the accused for summoning 21 court's witnesses earlier

Prosecution was of the view no signatures of witness are available on the transcript of videos available in USB. Therefore, the plea of the accused be dismissed.

The court adjourned the hearing of the case till August 18 after hearing the arguments of the respondents.

The decision on the petition is likely to be announced today (Wednesday).
