Islamabad: Supreme Court (SC) has adjourned hearing of bail plea till next Monday of the accused in the case of taking money from citizen under guise of sending him abroad.
The court has made it clear it will decide it before Eid ul Fitr.
A two members bench of SC presided over by Justice Hashim Khan took up the case for hearing.
During the hearing of the case Justice Hashim inquired from the citizen the accused obtained how much money.
The counsel for the plaintiff told the court the accused had received Rs 17.5 lac from the citizen.
Justice Hashim Kakar while moving to the aggrieved citizen he had given the money for going to which country.
The citizen told that he had given money to go to Greece.
Justice Hashim Kakar remarked you were to wander from door to door in Greece. You are young man. It is better to work as labor here in Pakistan . Several people who go abroad through boats die.
The court inquired did the accused send the petitioner abroad after obtained money.
The counsel for the plaintiff said neither he sent the citizen abroad nor he returned the money.
According to counsel of the plaintiff, the cheques given by the accused were bounced. The cases regarding cheque bouncing have been registered separately.
The counsel for the accused took the plea this is his first case in SC. Time be given for preparation.
Justice Ishtiaq Ibrahim remarked the court will decide the case before Eid.
The court adjourned hearing of the case till next Monday.
